What it costs, in rands, before you call.
No "request a quote" wall. These are real starting prices for real scopes. Custom work is scoped and quoted, but you'll know the ballpark before we speak.
Websites start at R4,500 and run to R35,000+ for custom builds. Marketing retainers run from R3,500 to R15,000 a month. Custom software starts at R5,000 for automation and R45,000 for a CRM. Care plans are R650 to R2,950 a month. All prices are in rands, exclude VAT, and are published rather than quoted on request.

Websites decay. Plugins go stale, certificates expire, and load shedding takes hosting down at the worst possible moment. A care plan is the difference between finding out from us and finding out from a customer.

How payment works.
How do you take payment?
Usually 50% to start and 50% on launch. Larger or custom builds can be split into milestones. Retainers run on debit order or EFT, monthly in advance.
Are these prices excluding VAT?
Yes — all figures exclude VAT where it applies. Your quote will show the total clearly before you commit.
Do I own the site and the code?
Yes. On final payment everything is yours — files, content and accounts. No lock-in, no hostage situations.
What if my project doesn't fit a package?
Most don't, exactly. The packages are anchors so you know the ballpark; the quote is built around what you actually need.
Is there a contract?
Project work is covered by a scope and a fixed price. Retainers and care plans are month to month with 30 days' notice — no annual lock-in.
What actually drives the price of a website?
Six things move the number: how many pages you need, whether the design is template-led or bespoke, how complex the selling is, what has to talk to what, who writes the words, and whether an old site has to be moved. Everything else is detail.
| Cost driver | What it means in practice | Effect on price |
|---|---|---|
| Page count | Every page is designed, built into the CMS, checked on mobile and wired into tracking. Three pages is a credible launch. Seven is a proper business site with room for services, proof and a blog. | Starter R4,500 · Business R8,500 · R850 per extra page |
| Template-led vs bespoke | Template-led means a proven layout adapted properly to your brand. Bespoke means the interface is designed around your content, your conversion path and, sometimes, logged-in users. | Template-led is inside package price · bespoke builds from R35,000 |
| E-commerce complexity | Fifty simple products, one gateway and flat shipping is a different build to variable products, courier rules by region and stock that has to stay in sync with something else. | E-Commerce R16,500 up to 50 products · beyond that, quoted |
| Integrations | Payment gateways such as PayFast, Yoco, Ozow, PayGate, SnapScan and Peach Payments, plus CRMs, accounting, booking and WhatsApp. Each one is a live system with its own failure modes and its own testing. | Workflow automation from R5,000 · API & systems integration quoted |
| Content writing | If your copy is ready, you pay nothing extra. If it is not, someone has to write it. Unwritten content is the single most common reason a build runs past its date. | Copywriting R450 per page |
| Migration | Moving an existing site means files, database, email, DNS and a redirect map so the rankings you already have survive the move. | Site migration R1,800 · hosting & domain setup R950 |
What never costs extra
Some things are treated as upsells elsewhere. Here they are simply part of the build.
Which package is genuinely right for you?
Most people overbuy or underbuy for the same reason: nobody told them where the line sits. Here is where it sits.
Starter at R4,500 is right when you need credibility, fast
You have one service, one audience and one action you want people to take. A trade, a consultant, a single-site practice, a new brand testing an idea. Three pages, a form that works, and a site that loads quickly on a phone will out-perform a bigger site you never finish. Build it in one to two weeks and spend the rest on getting traffic.
Skip straight to Business at R8,500 if you sell more than one thing
Separate service pages rank separately, and that is the whole point. If you have three or more offerings, more than one location, or you want to publish anything at all over time, Starter will run out of room within a month. Business also brings the CMS, so you can edit content without paying someone, plus Analytics, Search Console and structured SEO foundations. If you are choosing between adding four extra pages to Starter and moving up, move up.
E-commerce at R16,500 is warranted when the money changes hands online
Not when you merely want a catalogue. If people can already order by WhatsApp or email and volumes are low, a Business site with a clear product list and an enquiry flow is cheaper and easier to run. Go to WooCommerce when you need real stock control, a payment gateway, shipping rules and automated order emails, and when someone in the business is going to own the store day to day. Allow three to six weeks.
Go custom from R35,000 only when off-the-shelf genuinely cannot do it
Portals, dashboards, booking systems and members areas earn their cost when they remove work a person is currently doing by hand. If you can describe the thing you want as "our staff spend two days a month doing this", custom is likely to pay for itself. If it is a nicer version of something a plugin already does, it will not.
Why do we publish our prices?
Because you should not have to sit through a sales call to find out whether you can afford us. In this market the visible options tend to sit at two extremes — bargain-basement template sites at one end, and agencies with a five-figure minimum at the other — and almost nobody in between publishes anything at all. That gap is where most real South African businesses actually sit.
No wasted calls
A hidden price means both sides spend an hour discovering a mismatch that a number on a page would have settled in ten seconds. If R16,500 is out of range, you know now, and you have lost nothing.
You can qualify yourself
Published rates let you compare, budget and get internal approval before you speak to anyone. You arrive at the first conversation asking about scope rather than about cost, which is a far better conversation.
Nothing to walk back
A price you can read is a price we have to stand behind. It keeps the quote honest, keeps the scope tight, and removes the temptation to price by how the budget looks rather than by what the work is.
Custom and integration work is still quoted per project. Even then, the starting points above tell you the ballpark before we speak.
Payment, VAT and what happens when scope changes.
Payment is 50% to start and 50% on launch. Larger builds split into milestones. All published figures exclude VAT where it applies, and scope changes are quoted separately rather than quietly absorbed.
50% to start, 50% on launch
The deposit books the work and covers discovery, design and the first build. The balance is due at launch, and final payment is what transfers ownership of files, content, hosting, analytics and ad accounts to you. Retainers and care plans run monthly in advance on EFT or debit order.
Milestones on larger builds
On e-commerce and custom projects, splitting into milestones protects both sides. You pay against delivered stages rather than a promise, and nobody is carrying months of work on trust. The milestone list is agreed in writing before anything starts.
VAT is shown before you commit
Every price on this page excludes VAT where it applies. Your quote shows the line items, the VAT treatment and the total, plainly, so the invoice never contains a surprise. Ask for the inclusive figure up front if that is how your budget is approved.
Scope changes are quoted, not absorbed
If you ask for something outside the agreed scope, you get a price for it before it is built. You can approve it, defer it to a later phase, or drop it. What does not happen is silent absorption followed by a larger invoice at the end, or the version where the extra work quietly delays everything else and nobody says so.
